How to Perform Apple Mail Configuration in Simple Steps

 

 

Apple Mail is the proprietary of MacIntosh and comes inbuilt in Mac OS. It is popular among Mac users and is a powerful email clients which handles email management, storage, scheduling tasks etc. Functionality for the users. Every Mac OS comes with updated features of Apple Mail client. But, the users need to first configure the email client properly in order to work on it.

Working Steps for Apple Mail Configuration

The configuration of Apple Mail consists of incoming and outgoing server configuration setup. The configuration steps are as follows:

  • Launch Apple Mail application and select Add Account from the main menu.
  • Click on Preferences.



  • Go to Accounts Tab And then fill your name, email and password.



  • After filling the required items, click on continue.
  • Chose IMAP or POP in the Incoming Server screen tab in Account Type field and fill the following details:

    Description
    The name of your account.
    Incoming mail server
    For POP = pop.secureserver.net
    For IMAP = imap.secureserver.net.
    User Name
    Your email address.
    Password
    Your email account password



  • Similarly fill the details for the Outgoing Server.

    Description
    The name for this mail server (e.g. secureserver.net).
    Outgoing mail server
    smtpout.secureserver.net



  • Check Authentication Box and fill the details of Username & Password and click on continue.
